TUSAŞ Engine Industries (TEI), a joint venture of GE Aerospace, has been recognized with the 2024 Vision Star Award for its groundbreaking digital transformation project carried out in collaboration with Litum. The initiative, centered on Litum’s Real-Time Asset Tracking RTLS, redefined operational efficiency across TEI’s production facilities.
Before the project, TEI’s teams faced significant challenges in locating tools and equipment across complex manufacturing environments. Manual tracking processes resulted in delays and underutilization of assets, impacting workflow precision. To address these issues, TEI partnered with Litum to implement a UWB-based asset tracking system that provides instant visibility into over 3,000 tools, parts, and equipment.
With real-time data and automated tracking, TEI was able to significantly reduce search times, increase equipment utilization, and ensure that critical manufacturing operations ran seamlessly. The transformation not only streamlined daily workflows but also established a new level of transparency and control over asset movement within production lines.
