PathAware App Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how Litum Technologies, Inc. (“Litum,” “we,” “us,” and “our”) collects, uses and protects information through the PathAware mobile application (the “App”). The App lets authorized staff of companies that use Litum’s PathAware forklift safety units connect to those units over Bluetooth, check their status, and apply the updates and configuration prepared by their administrator. This Policy covers the App only. Our website is covered by the Litum Privacy Policy.

1. Who the App Is For

The App is a business application for employees and contractors of PathAware customers and for Litum staff. Accounts are created by the customer’s administrator or by Litum. The App has no public sign-up and is not directed at children.

2. Information We Collect

Account information. Your work email address, which you use to sign in. Your name, role and company are part of the account your administrator created, and the App displays them.

Sign-in session. A session token that keeps you signed in. It is stored in your phone’s secure storage and sent to our servers with each request.

PathAware unit information. When you connect to a PathAware unit, the App sends to our servers the unit’s identifiers, firmware version, configuration settings and service end date, and the results of updates, configuration changes and diagnostics. This information is linked to your account so that your company has a service history for its units.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect your location, contacts, photos, browsing history or advertising identifier, and it does not track you across other apps or websites. The camera is used only to scan the QR label on a PathAware unit. The image is processed on your phone and is not uploaded. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to sign you in, to show and update the status and configuration of your company’s PathAware units, to keep a service history for those units, to keep the units and the App working safely and securely, and to provide support. For users in the European Union, Türkiye and other places with similar laws, we process this information to provide the service your company has contracted and on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping PathAware units safe, secure and supported.

5. Sharing and Service Providers

We share information with your company (the PathAware customer whose units you work with), with service providers that host and operate our servers on our behalf under confidentiality obligations, and when required by law. We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

6. Where Information Is Stored

Our servers are hosted by cloud providers in the United States. If you use the App from another country, your information is transferred there with appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.

7. Information Stored on Your Phone

The App keeps only what it needs to work next to the forklift, in the App’s private storage on your phone: your sign-in session (in the phone’s secure storage), a configuration package your administrator prepared for a unit until it has been applied or withdrawn, and firmware files downloaded for an update. Unit readings are not stored on the phone. Signing out removes your session, and uninstalling the App removes everything it stored.

8. Retention

We keep account information for as long as your account is active. When your company’s PathAware service ends, we delete or anonymize account information within 90 days. Unit service history is kept while your company’s PathAware service is active and for two years after it ends, so that your company and Litum can support and service the units.

9. Deleting Your Account or Data

To delete your account or your data, contact your company’s administrator, or email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days. Some records may be kept where the law requires it.

10. Security

Information is sent between the App and our servers over encrypted connections. Service and configuration updates for a PathAware unit are protected so that only that unit accepts them, and units with current firmware use an encrypted Bluetooth link. Access to customer data is limited to authorized personnel. Litum’s information security management system is established with reference to the ISO/IEC 27001 standard. While we use commercially reasonable measures to protect information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

11. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. To exercise these rights, email [email protected].

12. Changes to This Policy

We will update this Policy if the App’s data practices change, and show the date of the latest update at the top of this page.
